Painting your Mac!

The back taped off and covered with plastic

Usually 3-5 coats of spray paint will be needed. Don't forget to allow drying time and light sanding between coats. If you see any bubbles, runs, drips, crackles, etc. while painting, just stop and if possible wipe them off. Then sand any rough spots that remain. Allow this to dry and then go to your next layer.

The main thing to remember is - Be Patient! - The final result will be worth the extra day or two it might take you to get good smooth coverage.

After your paint is completely dry you can decide if you want to put a clear sealer on top of the paint. A paint that has a dull finish will probably look better without the sealer. I did put 3 coats of satin finish sealer over the bronze paint on this SE/30.

The next step is putting it all back together!
